The soundtrack of Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai – which released in 1981 – contained a song titled Poochho Na Yaar Kya Hua.
Its namesake
featured on the soundtrack of Mast, which released in 1999.
In fact, the new
song even contained a few lines from the original.
Therefore, it could
be called a tribute to R D Burman (who composed the original) by Sandeep Chowta,
who composed the song from Mast (which was not a Mast song by any
stretch of the imagination).
The track was sung
by Sadhana Sargam and Sonu Nigam.
