This song is what today’s generation of social media users would call a late post.
But yesterday –
April 30, 2022 – was the second death anniversary of legendary actor Rishi
Kapoor.
The subject of
this post is Sahibaan Meri Sahibaan, the title track of Sahibaan
(which released in 1993, and was the penultimate Hindi film for which Shiv-Hari
composed the music).
It is, in fact,
the only song from the film in my collection.
The track, which
was written by Anand Bakshi, was rendered by Anuradha Paudwal and Jolly
Mukherjee (whose voice suited that of Kapoor).
