My earliest memories of Sonu Nigam are from the days he hosted Sa Re Ga Ma, and from credits of albums containing cover versions of Mohammed Rafi’s songs.
He and Bela
Sulakhe teamed up for a song titled Choodiyan Banti Hain.
It was the only
song from Aazmayish (1995) in my collection.
Mohan Kumar –
renowned for producing films beginning with the letter A – produced the film to
launch his son, Rohit Kumar.
The song was
written by Anand Bakshi, and composed by Anand-Milind.
Sachin Pilgaonkar,
who directed this film, introduced Nigam to the Shrivastava brothers.
