Do Ankhen Barah Haath – which released in 1997 – had nothing in common with its 1957 namesake with do As, which was directed by the legendary V Shantaram.
In fact, the only
song from the former in my collection was Tere Baap Ko.
In the appalling song,
Govinda sang about meeting (and greeting) a girl’s father at Mumbai’s Bandra
railway station.
He added that the
latter invited him home for a cup of tea, which meant it was a match.
Govinda then asked
her to join him for a movie.
Indeevar penned
the Bappi Lahiri composition.
